Why I plan to shift the baby weight in 2015!

It’s been nearly 7 months since I had Austin and I’ve got to the point where I feel I want to shift the mum tum. I don’t feel in any pressure to do it from anyone else at all, but I have a few big events coming up in 2015 and I’d love to look back at photos and be happy with how I look.

This week I went back to my old faithful Weight Watchers. I did try Diet Chef recently and even though I really loved it at the time, for me it wasn’t going to work long term. Weight Watchers has always worked well for me so I’m straight back to it! I haven’t had my first weigh in yet as I’ve only been dieting for 4 days but I’ve already lost 3lb which I’m very happy with! Just shows how much rubbish I must have been eating over Christmas to lose so much so quick….

imgresIn 2015 this is what’s going down:

  • Feb/March this year we are off to Lanzarote or somewhere similar with friends (must get that booked actually!)
  • May is my best friend’s hen do! We are off to Bath for a relaxing weekend at a spa – swimsuits again!
  • July this year is my best friend’s wedding! AND I’M BRIDESMAID! Tight fitting dress alert…
  • Summer
  • July is also Austin’s first birthday. I’d love to look back at the photos and be pleased with how I looked on the day. July is also mine and my husband’s birthday so we might go away again. Swimsuit!

So, these are the important dates coming up and I have to fit in all sorts of dresses and bikinis. Eeek!

I won’t be filling you in on stones and pounds lost, but I will probably write another post in a month or so with general progress. I’m really pleased I’m bridesmaid as that is a real incentive to look great, so here’s hoping I stick to the diet and look fab by Summer!

Here are some meals I’ve been enjoying this week. I’ve been cooking for myself with some lovely fresh food and it’s been lovely to enjoy some vegetables again after the Christmas period. Grant had pizza the other night and I didn’t even bat an eyelid – breakthrough! My Nutribullet is my most favourite purchase ever – fab zero point fruit smoothies for breakfast every morning and they keep me going until lunch.  I’m sure I’ll blog about that soon too.

  1. Seriously need to join you with this! Having had two babies back to back 18 months apart one in nov 2012 and one in June 2014 my newest little one is 7.5 months old and I haven’t lost my baby weight from first time around! I also have a wedding to go to this year and a Florida holiday so I would love to actually not hide from photos and continue regretting never having any photos with my monkeys! You look like you’ve made a great start! X

  2. I am, well I’m trying to be! I lost a lot of weight and felt great when I went to a Bootcamp group (indoors, , I don’t do mud!). The trouble is I have to go horribly early in the morning (it’s the only time I have consistent childcare as Steve works long and unpredictable hours). I am not a morning person at all but had got into the habit of it. However, I found when I started Keepsakes From My Sewing Room up I just wasn’t getting up as I was up working late every night so I took a break. Typically I have reverted back to bad eating habits as well as not going so have put quite a lot (not all thank goodness) of the weight back on. I’ve been much better with my eating this week and am going back to Bootcamp in the morning. Wish me luck, it’s going to HURT!!!

I hope WW works for you, your food looks lovely xxxx

      • You’re right though having a goal to work to is great. I’m meeting a friend in Spain in June (she lives in Oz now so I’m super excited to spend some time with her). I’m going to keep in mind that I’d like to feel good about myself while there rather than too hot because I’m always trying to cover up!

Right, I’d better go to sleep – my alarm will be going off soon 😦 !!!

Keep up the WW, it’s a good incentive for me too xxxx

  3. I’m sooo desperate for a nutribullet feel it would make my smoothie making so much more enjoyable than the dodgy hand blender I have. It’s good to have goals and aims for something like this. I’m just trying to be healthier and attempt to fit in some exercise! Been following your meals on instagram and they look great! I just like chocolate too much. Thanks for linking up lovely! #MummyMonday xx
